Dani Cameranesi

Director of Girls Hockey Operations

Dani Cameranesi (Brodzinski) grew up playing hockey, soccer, lacrosse, dance, you name it, if it was a sport, she was playing it. She grew up playing in the Wayzata Youth Association with the boys and transferred to Blake for her highschool career. Since she graduated from Blake no other girls' hockey player has worn the number 9, and she ultimately had her jersey retired. She was a 5 year letter winner and named 2013 Ms. Hockey after leading her team to one of two State Championships (2009, 2013). She was named four times to the All State Team and finished her career at Blake with 141 games scoring 201 goals and 165 assists for 365 career points. She also registered a State Championship in Lacrosse in 2010. As a high school athlete she competed with the U.S. Under-18 Team where she earned silver medals with Team USA at the 2012 and 2013 IIHF U-18 Women's World Championships and served as captain in 2013. 

 
Dani went on to star for her hometown University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.  Her freshman year she was named National Rookie of the Year and scored a goal in the National Championship Game winning her first of two National Titles. She would go on to be a 2 time Patty Kazmaier finalist, WCHA Scoring Champion in 2016, Academic All-American, and Team Assistant Captain. For her career she would score 93 goals and 108 assists for 201 points. 
 

The versatile forward was a key part of two U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Teams, helping Team USA capture gold at the 2018 Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, and silver in 2022 in Beijing, China. In addition, Cameranesi played on three IIHF Women’s World Championship teams, winning gold in 2015 and 2019, and silver in 2021. In total, Cameranesi played 87 games in the U.S. sweater, tallying 24 goals, 34 assists for 58 points.

During her collegiate and professional career, Dani served as a coach at Karn Skating Dynamics and was a part time coach for the Blake girls hockey team in 2019. Upon retiring from her illustrious career in 2022, Dani has since been running her own week long hockey camps up north for 5 years, has coached one on one skills sessions, and youth girls association camps. She is excited to be a part of SDP and provide any support and assistance she can.
